Sunday, August 12, 2001, there was an artist's reception at Art Apartment, as well as a display of the felt pieces created by Lynn and her loved ones.
 [Ulyana's piece, titled "Friends on many levels"]
We were grateful to be mentioned in the Lansing State Journal twice, including the Sunday paper.
Several visitors came thanks to those articles. One of those unexpected visitors was a beloved teacher of Lynn's, with whom she had studied in 1980.
Guests included friends from the arts community, music community, dance community, students, friends and family.
The reception was heartwarming and rewarding in every sense.

 [Mom and Lynn by Mom's piece, titled "Blowin' in the Wind"]
Thanks to all those folks who made this happen: Art Apartment (Susan Hensel, Nancy McRay, Leslie Donaldson; my friends and family making felt (Sara, Marcia Witt, Mom/Elizabeth Troldahl, Ulyana Maystrenko, and Marian, Eva and Jane Reiter);
[Piece by Reiter Women, titled "We put the funk in..."]
Volunteers (M. Jane Mosier, Elena Cervantes);
Donor of Tent, Michael Sunndermann; Provider of performance space, ELRA; and last but perhaps most-- my husband, Brian Hefferan, for all his help, patience, and just being his good-hearted self.
Thanks to Working Women Artists, The Art Apartment and the Lansing State Journal for publicity, and many more whose names elude me as I write this gratitude list.
