Do you love color but don't have time or patience to follow a lengthy fairisle chart? Despite their complex looks, these socks knit quickly with merely 9 rows that use two colors on the same row. In addition, they are knit in DK weight yarn (fat enough to knit quickly, thin enough to fit in most shoes).
It is a top-down sock using four colors of a wonderful washable wool yarn, with roomy cuff and snug foot. These are modern socks in every way, in spite of their traditional-sounding name. I named them after Heritage Spinning, a store where I teach, and the Heirloom brand of yarn I used to knit them.
Cuff patterning is described both in chart form and in text. You can knit from whichever is best for you.
Five sizes included! They are: Children's 10-11 / 12-1, (Women's Sm 6-7 / Med 8-9 / Lg 10-11).
