Turkish Toe-Up Sock by LynnHInterested in Turkish socks but want an easy approach to begin? This sock is based on features from two pair of Turkish socks owned by LynnH. The heel and toe come from one pair, the cuff edging is inspired by another. The structure is authentic, with a four-part swirl toe and a simple heel that is related to a Dutch heel. It is finished with a simple eyelet purl ridge and two rows of slip-stitch crochet, a simple technique even for a novice crocheter, and a three-part braid/plait for embellishment. You will be amazed at how well these fit and how quickly they knit up in DK weight yarn. Sizes included are Women's XS, S, M and L. This pattern first appeared in Dawn Brocco's Heels and Toes Gazette, issue #15, Spring 2004 If you prefer to take a class (and are near Mid-Michigan), check my Schedule page to see when and where this class is offered next.
Printed pattern in page protector, $5 USD plus $1 shipping in the USA.
