![]() Knit-to-Fit Wristwarmers by LynnHNo matter what your level of knitting experience, this pattern will give you plenty of options to make warm and practical items to wear or give. There is nothing like a small project to warm a cold day. Choose any wool or wool-blend yarn you prefer, and finish before you can say "brr!"
On the left, you see one sample of the beginner version, in thick-thin bulky wool, though many yarns can be used. Knit in garter stitch fabric, there are no purls and this version is knit on straight needles. There is also no sewing, thanks to a three-needle bindoff (how-to with photos in Appendix) to complete the project.
For this version, you can learn to knit on double-pointed needles (photos included in Appendix). The design is simple, perfect for knitting in a distracting environment. A small part of the project is knit back and forth, but most is knit in the round. This means no sewing at the end and an excellent fit with a smooth appearance.
