What Color?
©1994 by Lynn D. Troldahl Hershberger
- I want to write a story where the good guys wear black hats --
- Where dark skin means safe and trustworthy --
- Where blonde is suspect.
- I want to live in a world where the only race is the human race.
- Where the question, "What color?" is properly answered by:
- Beige, tan or brown;
- Chocolate, caramel or vanilla.
NOT white, black or red!
People aren't crayons!
- A toddler, whose mommy was beige and whose daddy was brown, met a friend's daddy. He became confused...
- "This man can't be a daddy! He's beige! Daddies are supposed to be brown!"
- I want a world where no-one asks "what color?"
- I'd rather ask --
"What Flavor?"
