Since I published my popular
Chippy Socks (named so because, like potato chips, you can’t stop at one pair)… I have wanted a hat to go with them.
You sure can not say that the cap “matches” the socks, any more than the six socks “match” each other. They all use the same 3 colors of yarn. Other than that, variety is the point here. Matching is for another day!
This colorful pattern in preemie to child sizes is topped off with a tassel made of three I-Cords for accent. Sides stranded, top striped. Three colors of yarn (this design works very well with my Chippy Socks for Kids).

Preschooler) [Elem. Child–Adult S], Finished

hat is intended to be very close to the size of the head (not
snug like a beanie).
