Pictures from Wheatland Music Festival

We just got back from three days at Wheatland Music Festival.

Remember that last blog post? The one about Mark Sahlgren? Well, here he is (in the photo below right), at the center of the photo, flanked by his son-in-law, Jack (who we spoke with at great length) and his daughter, Darcy. They played 2nd stage on Sunday (now called Centennial Stage). They are all in other bands besides this ensemble.

We had SUCH fun at Wheatland! The weather was perfect, if you ask me… lower 80’s F during the day, sunny without a risk of rain, and evenings were not so cold that they kept us from playing music with friends. Well, Friday we finally got cold after 3am, but it was bedtime by then, anyway!

I have multiple photos, especially of my friends in Steppin’ in It, and wonderful shots of folks dancing in many styles. I’m so tired I’m going to bed early for me, and I need to edit more photos for you later.

Monday starts my fall term at Haslett Community Education, which takes about 6 hours out of my day… so photos may take a while. I am also in need of photos of my new yarns/buttons, and I have certainly not forgotton that, either!

Busy, busy, busy! It could be much worse.

Photos: 1) Main Stage, with Steppin’ in It playing (Saturday, early…they closed on Sunday, as well). Notice the guy front left, with hat on, sitting on couch. Most people bring folding chairs, but this guy was clearly there for the duration. Just before I snapped this photo, I saw him putting on his sunscreen for a long day of listening to live music. This is the life! 2) Jack, Mark, and Darcy.
