Fun and Surprise: Uncommissioned Art
I just watched a “TedX” speech by a couple interested in what they call Uncommissioned Art, or street art.
It’s not merely graffiti. It’s all sorts of expression… surprise, stickers, sculpture, even inflatable art on the streets. A lot of it is fun and funny, not destructive as many expect.
I really enjoyed the presentation. I think after my own Yarn bOMb cooperative project, this sort of creative expression really wakes me up!

Oh, Lynn,
What a WONderful Ted-x talk that is! Thank you so much – I am later than I wanted to be to get to Old Town and see your kazoos because I was too interested – I kept telling myself “You can watch this later when you don’t want to be elsewhere” but I didn’t listen!
Your yarn-bombed garden is terrific! Thanks to you and the many happy knitters, crocheters, hangers, and energizers for this project. The greater Lansing area is wealthier because of you and your kind.
THANKS!
X O Irene
