Another Lynn Blogger (with a Cat)
Once I had a cat named Muffett. I got him at only 5 weeks old, he fit in the palm of my hand. He was always a tiny runt of a cat but he lived to be 17 years old.
I have only ever had one pet, and I was very lucky it was this fine feline. My cat was so gentle and sweet and people-loving that my friends cried when he finally died.
Old animals get wise, I think. I have a special fondness for them.
I just accidentally found myself on the blog of another Lynn. She has an old cat. She also has a young human around… and the photos are excellent…
Photo: added later in the day by request, my cat Muffett in one of the few photos I have of him. Black cats do not photograph well.

Do you have a picture of Muffy? I would love to see Muffett again. He was a wonderful cat. I am sure Grandma was glad you named him after her.

I’ve only got terrible pictures of my black cat too. They are a very hard thing.

Lynn,
My sister had a muffin, aka muffy, also. I rescued her from my sister-in-laws house. S I L is to this day scared to death of felines. Muffy was probably 12 to 16 weeks old, a beautiful calico. I had adopted a dog already and, living with Mom and Dad, was not encouraged to keep a cat too. But my newly married sister with a workaholic husband was completely captivated with the kitten. They were together for 23 years.
DH and I adopted our first cat 11 years ago,Tasha. She was already 2 years old than, but we could tell she was perfect for us. We often refer to her as “The Queen” or Pumpkin, depending on her mood. She’s a beautiful Torti, black, rich brown and brilliant gold fur.
Pets contribute so much to our lives, I hope I’m never without them.
