Watercolor Bag Class
I had a very fun Watercolor Bag class at Threadbear which ended last Sunday. We were so excited about the bags, we decided to meet for dinner in a few weeks and see how everyone’s bag came out after felting.
Here are the four bags. Only one is in a yarn I’ve used for the bag before. What an adventure it will be to see how they all felt! Some yarns shrink more from side to side and some more in height, and there is the individual gauge of each knitter involved as well.
I am excited to meet everyone for dinner and get “after” photographs…

Those are great, Lynn! What yarns were used?

Trish took the question right out of my mouth…is that some of your yarn in the purple/aqua/white colorway? When I knit the bag, the Cascade felted so much more quickly than the Noro. I still get complements when I carry it, from knitters and nonknitters alike!

Lynn,
I’ve been checking in on you, but haven’t taken the time to comment. Sorry! This weather has me bummed too, even though we do expect April snow, it’s still a shock to our systems.
Your purse class has inspired me to felt a purse that I knit a couple months ago! Felting can be quite a surprise sometimes. I like to mix in fiber that will not felt, the results never fail to make me feel like an artist.
Stay warm, spring will come back!
