I’m Teaching at Rhinebeck (New York Sheep & Wool Festival)

Um, I’ve known this a long time… I’m teaching at Rhinebeck. This is in New York, a few hours north of NYC.

It’s a big deal to me, I’m totally thrilled. When I found out, the website didn’t say I would be there, so I waited for it to show up and then I went on to other things here. Sorry!

I’ll be teaching Thurs/Fri/Saturday. Here is the workshop web page link. Here are the class titles for my offerings (go to the page to read descriptions if you would):

  • Thurs: Design your own Turkish-Style Sock, All Day 6 Hours
  • Friday: Polymer Clay for Fiber folk: Buttons, Beads, Handles and Tools, All Day 6 Hours
  • Saturday: Heels and Toes Exploration, All Day 6 Hours

I just read on Stephanie Pearl-McPhee’s site (Yarn Harlot) that she’ll be there. What fun that might be! I hope we’re not both so busy that we don’t get a chance to chat a bit.

Who else out there is going? Who can I meet who I have not met yet???

How exciting, Lynn! I would love to get to Rhinebeck one day. I hope you have lots of students. They’ll love you! Have a great time!!!!!

  3. Deborah Robson Says:

Too far for me to get there, although I got to visit the Rhinebeck wool festival once many years ago and it’s a fond memory. (I always distinguish “wool festival,” because when I lived in the area there was also the Rhinebeck crafts show).

    Have a wonderful time!

Congrats! What a great honor! Someday I dream of hitting Rhinebeck…maybe next year. It would be great if we could get a group to drive together.

Hey Lynn, if we *still* haven’t moved by then, I’ll be there! Jusat gotta stay away from ALL angora bunnies!

  6. Erin Says:

That is awesome! I definitely plan to be there!

  7. Pat DeLeeuw Says:

Congrats!! They will love the Turkish Sock class-I did! Maybe someday a whole group from the Lansing area can head up there-the blogs I have read from people who have gone(like the Harlot) have said it is worth visiting.

  8. Rae Says:

    Hi Lynn,
Congrats! I’m still hoping to tag along (you need a teaching assistant right?)…

  9. Priscilla Says:

    Congrats, Lynn! This is great.

You and Rae’ll need a chaperone, right? Let me know….

We’ve been debating Rhinebeck for months. But: for the absolutely sun-allergic, is there any hope there? Shade doesn’t do it, I need a plate of glass between me and that retina burner in the sky. I’ve never been to Rhinebeck, so the only ideas I have of it are from Stephanie’s blog pictures.
