My Weekend Schedule… for Locals
Hi, friends. More busy-ness today… but I want you to know about my weekend events if you would like to join me.
Friday, November 3, I am dancing as Eudora, at New Aladdin’s restaurant, Frandor (East Side of Lansing, Michigan). They are near the huge video store, between Apple Jade Chinese restaurant and Sparty’s coney island, across from MotoPhoto and Panera. Shows are about a half hour, one at 6:30 and one at 8pm. I’m dancing with Mahtaab, and it will be a very fun time.
Saturday I am teaching Kristi Comfort Wrap at Yarn Garden in Charlotte, Michigan (111 W. Lawrence, across from the old Courthouse. This is a warm wrap using color for interest, it is the simplest of knitting but a beautiful final product. It comes in two sizes, wrap or lap blanket. It is from Noon to 3:30, one session, $20. Bring sock-to-DK (lighter) weight leftover yarns with you and size 15 needles if you have them, either straight or circular. On Sunday, I will be teaching polymer clay w/shine and sparkle: Foils & translucents, at Threadbear in Lansing. This is the same material I have been teaching for years, with a new twist. Tint translucent clays, layer w/ foil leaf, and you have buttons that work with many colors of yarn. These have depth and finesse. It is 12:30-4:30, one day (late enough for out-of-town folks to join me). Class fee is $40 plus a materials fee around $10 depending on how much you want to take home with you.
