And now I know what you wished for each year, a kitty. When you finally got him, you named him after your dear Grandma. He was all you could ever wish for in a cat. Wishes do indeed come true.

Happy Birthday, Lynn!!

I also favor the spirit of Buy Nothing Day; I did not observe it today, but all my $$ went into our tiny local economy, so I think that's alright for this year.

Cheers to you, and I hope you enjoyed your day!

Many happy returns of the day Lynn! (I just love that phrase, it's so victorian. But that doesn't mean it's not true.)As far as the Kureyon goes, it does knit very nicely into entrelac, and there are some very good free entrelac instructions on the web. The first one is hard and after that, well it's easy. Learning it is like learning how to turn heels, though, I'm sorry to say. But in the same way, after you've learned how you love to do it.
I don't mind the knots in Kureyon, it's the scratchiness. Right now I am knitting some lime green Mexican Wave into a hoodie --I wear my old grey one around the house all the time and suddenly the urge for brightness overcame me. Mexican Wave is acrylic but it has color changes like Noro. It's cheaper than Noro and much softer although as a fiber snob I am embarassed I like it.
Valerie (who will be working long hours on Sunday and the rest of next week as a litigation paralegal whose case is at trial, sigh.)
