Cynthia’s Winter Garden
My friend Cynthia is an all-around creative soul. We both knit, we both do music in some way, we both love color.
We look enough the same from a distance that once I saw a video of her at a contra dance and I couldn’t tell if it was me or her. Finally I realized that those were not my clothes in the video, so it couldn’t be me. But then again, sometimes we pass clothing between our closets as well…
Cynthia had enough of the white colorless winter landscape a handful of weeks ago. She did something about it!
She went to the store, bought balloons, put some water in them for weight, blew them up, and put them in her flower pots near her porch. They lasted a good long time, which sounds really cool to me!
Here is a photo of her winter garden, and a photo of friends Bonnie and Cynthia knitting together at a concert (I think at Cappucino Cafe), a few months back. My Brian took the photo of the knitters, Cynthia took the garden shot, and all know I’m sharing the photos here with you.

What a wonderful idea! I am sure it will catch on with others. Good thinking!

That Cynthia is quite a creative force! And didn’t a little bird tell me that she once had short, purple hair?

Hi Lynn –
How very fun to see these again! Thanks for posting them. They only lasted a few weeks, but they still make me smile. And thanks everyone for the nice comments. Was that really me, Priscilla with the short purple hair?? Probably so, visions of rainbow highlights dance in my head every so often, but they’ve remained internal visions so far. . . . .. .
