		<description>I am behind, just read your complaint about metal needles, etc.  Have you tried the casien (casein?) ones?  I'm not sure how small they come, but they are somewhat flexible, but not breakable. The shortest they come are 7", so they are longer than you are familar with, but they might be a solution.
