Lookie! (Um, what is it?)

I decided to spend a few hours, Saturday night, experimenting with chevrons and decreases. I did have an idea what I might end up with. This is not entirely different than what I expected. See?

So, what would you declare this to be? Is it a Sigg embellishment?

Is it a stuffed ‘mingo hat?

Is it a Christmas tree? (This photo is pre-blocking, look how rigid that fabric is.)

Is it a nosewarmer for a pointy-nosed dog? Rudolph?

What do you think it is? I like it, and comments will not change that impression.

It doesn’t matter to me if you call it something odd, if it makes at least a speck of sense. Truthfully, it was a learning swatch, though I had plans for it as well. But now I have plans to giggle a bit, if you will play along with me.

I think we could have some fun here. Wanna play?

    It’s a Santa hat!

I’m torn between an elf warmer or a nose hat.

  3. Charlotte Says:

It’s an evening skirt for the world’s skinniest Barbie doll.

Have the opening at the top, and it can be a cornet filled with yummy candies, preferably wrapped! (I HATE fuzzies on my sticky candies…)

It’s quite enchanting, regardless of what you do with it!

Sure looks like a hat to me!

I’m gonna go with “elbow embellishment”. Those oval reinforcement patches on sweaters are a mite boring and this is not! It’ll stick out nicely (??) when you straighten your arms.

I am swayed by the above responses – almost.

But I shall stick with my original thought – it is going to end up being a tote bag for a wee missy to go out to do her Christmas shopping.

All it needs now is a handle – out of i-cord I expect – in green.

    I think it’s a lampshade.
