When I was a teenager a family friend&#039;s parting words were always, &quot;If you can&#039;t be good be careful.&quot; I have since learned that this was a WWII expression used by a racy, or wanna-be racy, set in London, and she did live there although she had two small children at the time. Although she was nothing like them I can easily imagine the Andrews Sisters singing this in harmony.
