Abundance
One of my favorite words is abundance. It implies plenty, in a wholesome way. Enough, not too much.
This week The Toss-it Tuesday premise worked its concept through every day for me. Unfortunately, as I decided to let go of things, the pile of discards by our back door became a mess of its own!
Today I gave away some jewelry to good friends. I sent a bag to charity. I piled my plastic recycling bin, and a few things which need delivering to various spots, in my car.
Maybe this week’s Toss-it will be the delivery day for those things. It seems that’s part of the process! Then I can go looking for more things to let go of.
Here’s a favorite quote on abundance:
If you are content with what you have, you are wealthy.

What is your plan for Toss-it Tuesday?

My plans are a triple-toss–ten things from my desk at school into recycle, ten items of clothing from my closet this afternoon, and ten plastic containers without lids (or lids without containers) from the kitchen!Â

I finished a review, and got the book ready to go up on Ebay. I had plans to do more but my cold kicked my hiney. I’m looking at tomorrow as just an extension of Tuesday :-}

Ugh…I think I’m catching your cold, Diana. (Either that, or one that belonged to any one of my 85 students…heh…sniffle. I suppose it could be mountain cedar pollen blowing in from the Hill Country…wheeze.)

It is Tuesday all week for me. I use the motor home for a storage place and put things there for our big park sale this Saturday. I am also baking for our bake goods sale. I have found an abundance of things to get rid of. As for your cold or crud Karen and Diana, I use a nasal saline spray every day after I see the 5 and 6 year olds. I also use it at home when my nose starts to get stuffy. It really helps me. A hot shower to breath in the moist air is another help. I’ll be thinking of you.

I love a nice hot cup of tea with a few (original flavor) Ricola’s put into it.
I managed to sort through yarn Wednesday and today, and made good progress!

I just learned a new Chinese New Year greeting – nin nin yau yue (Cantonese). It means every year with excess abundance. The yue sound is similar to the word for fish, so many people in South China have a whole fish on New Year’s Eve and greeting cards have fish motifs.

Lynn, you are inspiring me! Even though it is Wednesday I just returned to my office after dinner to spend a few minutes going through old papers. My reward is that I get to sit and knit when I’m done.

I tossed 18 magazines Tuesday… and then joined you on Wednesday. I tossed 10 more today. Slow and steady, right?
