Well, I spent much of today proofknitting a sample sock for a pattern I’m submitting for publication. My gauge was not at all interested in behaving, but the blocked sock looks better than I expected so I’m hoping for the best.

Brian and I went to a party in Ann Arbor today to play music. My, what a grand time that was! The tunes were right up our alley, a lot of music from the 20’s and 30’s. We loved every minute of it.

We left the party to go and pick up my friend Ulyana from the Detroit airport. I’m so glad she’s home. I really was feeling without an anchor when I had four dear friends out of state. They are all back, now, and I’m delighted. I’m glad they had good vacations, but I am happy to see them again.

Speaking of which, Tony and I are going to hang out a little bit tomorrow. I am not going to get enough sleep tonight, I can see it already. I’ll enjoy Tony, for sure.
