The City Pulse of Lansing came out to the Threadbear opening event on Sunday. They interviewed me, Rhonda (who knit the wedding dress), Rob and Matt. Mary Cusack was the reporter, and she stayed a long time to get a good feel of what was happening.

I sent her the photo Brian took of me in Minneapolis, next to the self portrait. Somehow they credited Mary for the photo, but as far as I can tell they got all the other details right. Well, the title of the article uses the word “woven” when the works at Threadbear are (as far as I can tell) either knit or crocheted, not woven. This is a minor point since all three artforms use yarn to create fabric, don’t you think?

I met Cat Bordhi through Rae Blackledge of Rae’s Yarn Boutique. I took a class from Cat at the TNNA show this past June, about teaching kids to knit.

Cat has a sock pattern (Flow Motion Socks) in the current Vogue Knitting magazine. (A cornucopia of creative sock patterns is in those pages.) She writes that some changes the magazine made created some errors. You can find the corrections on Cat’s News Page.
